JOB DESCRIPTION:

Busy food truck and cafe seeking responsible individuals for spring and summer employment, with potential for permanent work.

Employees will rotate between working front-of-house and kitchen positions inside the cafe (open year round), and seasonally on the food truck, which is stationed at The Yard in Manlius (604 East Seneca Street). The food truck will operate on weekends, some evenings, and during special events held at The Yard. The cafe will operate for lunch and dinner daily.

Individuals will be trained to work on the food truck and in the cafe.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Take customer orders on food truck/inside cafe

  • Prepare food orders

  • Customer service

  • Answer phone calls

  • Operate Square point-of-sale system (cash register)

  • Dishwashing/sanitation

  • Maintaining a clean work station at all times

  • Manage inventory of food/paper products/beverages, etc.

  • Cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping and vacuuming

  • Work private catering events on site

All employees will be trained on the proper use and safety of all food truck and cafe cooking equipment. Prior food service experience is not required.

Please note:

  • Position may include some lifting (25 pounds or less).

  • Employees will be expected to follow all health department guidelines, including restraining hair with a hat/hair net (facial hair must be groomed and short).

  • Employees will be expected to reserve personal phone use for breaks.

  • Cafe and food truck are located on the same property as a craft brewery taproom.
